Checklist to Complete the REU-Site Application
Please note that all items 1 to 6 must be submitted/received/completed by the application deadline.
- Online Application Survey (under “Application Form”)
- Online Project Selection Survey
- A personal statement or essay (using 250 to 500 words and should be uploaded under Application Form)
- A copy of your resume (one page long and should be uploaded under Application Form)
- A copy of your academic transcript(s). (should be uploaded under Application Form)
- Two letters of recommendation. The recommendation letters should be emailed directly by your referees to wmerchan-merchan@u.edu and copy to wsun@ou.edu.
In case that you encounter an issue with online submission of the required information please consider the following alternative method to submit your application although we do not guarantee that this will be reviewed. Please submit your Resume, Personal statement, copy of Academic Transcript(s), response to both surveys (Online Application Survey & Project Selection Survey) by compiling it into a single PDF file and sending it to Dr. Wilson Merchan-Merchan via email wmerchan-merchan@ou.edu. Please copy/cc Dr. Wei Sun (wsun@ou.edu). The single file should be labeled as: Your last name_REU_Site_Application.Pdf. For instance: Miller_REU_Site_Application.Pdf. Also please briefly indicate in the email the issue(s) you encountered with the online submission.
